Lolade Kola-Adewuyi, originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland, is a junior Advertising major with a dual concentration in Art Direction and Copywriting. She channels her passion for advocacy and creativity into impactful projects, such as her #BoostYourShot campaign with Temple Risk Communication Lab, a campaign focused on the promotion of Covid-19 booster shots to Black and Latinx communities in North Philadelphia. Known for her unwavering dedication to accessibility and minority rights, she actively promotes social change on campus through commitments such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees for Temple Advertising Club and Honors Forum, Temple Honors Appalachia, and Talking Hands (American Sign Language Club). Lolade enjoys exploring non-traditional art forms like makeup and photography in her free time, and she finds inspiration from podcasts like Jenna Sbeg's “The Psychology of Your 20s “. If she could tell her freshman self anything, she would tell her that new beginnings are often disguised as painful endings; embrace the discomfort, take risks, and trust the process.
Assistant Professor of Instruction at Klien College, Deborah Racano recalls, “I have had the privilege of observing Lolade’s growth and development into not only an exceptional art director but an amazing human being. Her drive, engagement, creativity, and work ethic are truly commendable, and I have no doubt she has a bright future ahead of her. She is a standout individual with immense potential who is a giving person and wants to make the world a better place. I am confident she will continue to do that at Temple and around the world".
