Meredith is a senior Public Health major from Downingtown, PA. She has been an Owl Team Leader, a Student Coordinator, a member of the Hospitality Team, and a HEART Peer Educator. Off campus, she is an intern in the Early Head Start office at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working in community outreach to help parents be their child’s first teacher. In the future, Meredith hopes to continue her work in community outreach while applying for her Master’s degree.

Deanne DeCrescenzo, Ed.D., Associate Dean of Students, shares “Meredith was a steady and thoughtful leader for her peers and a caring support to both new students and family members transitioning to the university. She demonstrated strong leadership and critical thinking skills in this role, frequently thinking ahead to anticipate problems and volunteering solutions. Due to staff vacancies, Meredith had a great deal of additional responsibility to ensure a positive orientation experience, and she certainly rose to the challenge. It has been remarkable to see Meredith transition from an undecided “Covid baby” (student who started in 2020) into a dedicated health educator. Her passion for public health extends beyond the classroom. Her commitment to improving health and well-being outcomes is unwavering and I look forward to seeing what she continues to accomplish upon graduation".
