Professor Joanne Metzger, shares “that Rebecca is passionate, a natural leader and advocate for women and public safety. She is a very high-achieving student and is a mentor to her peers with has a wonderful reputation in our department. She was nominated for this award due to her student involvement in SAASA (Student Activities Against Sexual Assault). In addition, last semester she helped to collaborate with Uber to provide $350,000 worth of free Uber rides to college students and was honored by the City Council.
