Your New Home

Welcome home!

You can view the drop down menu below to get familiar with important information about our residence halls and living on-campus.

Get Connected

We offer a variety of services in and out of the residence halls to connect to campus resources while living on campus.

Internet Access
View the TUconnect Card which explains how to get connected to the internet in your residence hall.

Click here to learn more about connecting to Temple's Network.

Telephone Service
All residence halls will have a security phone on each floor. Residents should become familiar with these phone locations.

Smartphone Tip: If you do not receive a strong cellular signal in your room, try using Wi-Fi Calling - a feature on many newer-model iPhones and Andriod phones that enables you to make and recieve calls over a wireless network.  Search for Wi-Fi Calling on your carrier's website to see if your device supports this feature and how you can enable it. Note: For international calls, the rates from your calling plan apply for Wi-Fi calling.

Decorating Your Room

We encourage you to decorate your room to reflect your personality and style.

Many rooms have bulletin boards or tack strips; we also suggest using fun-tack for hanging things on the walls instead of nails or tacks.

Students are not permitted to paint, install carpeting (area rugs are fine), hang wallpaper, or apply contact paper or decals.

Students are also not permitted to hang items from ceiling pipes or fire-safety equipment, or to alter any university furniture in any way.

If you're interested in registering your room for our Annual Room Decorating Contest, check back for registration details to participate in the Room Decorating Contest and be sure to follow instructions about the process when notifications are sent.

Laundry Room

Washers and dryers are available in every residence hall. Our halls are not equipped with change machines, so getting a roll of quarters every so often is a good idea.

You should also consider downloading the Speed Queen Mobile App to pay for and track the availability and progress of your laundry.

Most students tend to do laundry on weekends. Washers and dryers are available 24 hours a day, so the best availability you may find is during the day before dinner, or late at night.

Mail & Packages

Each residence hall has a mailroom at which students may receive letters and packages. You should receive either a key or a combination to your assigned mailbox during check-in. Larger packages are delivered and can be picked up at each residence hall's front office. It is important that the room or apartment number is included on all letters and packages.

To send mail or a package ahead of time, please visit Mail Services section to get mailing addresses for on-campus residents to ensure proper delivery of mail or packages.

Welcome Week

Weeks of Welcome are jam-packed with activities and events to make you feel at home and make connections on campus. You won't want to miss it! Click here for the Weeks of Welcome event schedule.

The Temple experience begins with the student's decision to join the Temple community and continues beyond graduation. Weeks of Welcome encourages students to build enduring relationships with friends, faculty and administration while supporting their growth into successful alumni and active members of society.
