SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a governmental program designed to alleviate food insecurity. College students may be eligible for this program, but many may not know they are eligible.

Eligibility includes having a Social Security number, or those who have had a green card for more than five years or are a refugee/asylee, meet SNAP income guidelines and complete one of the following.

  • Work 20 hours a week,
  • have a work-study job or
  • join an on-the-job training program.

Applying can help you stay focused on school while maintaining reliable access to food. Apply for SNAP benefits and learn about the program.
