Housing Resources

Off-campus Living

The Office of Off-campus Living support team is here to help you with making informed decisions about where to live and how to be successful in the area surrounding Main Campus.

Temple's Best Nest Program

The Best Nest program is the university's landlord self-certification program for off-campus properties. Best Nest properties meet additional safety and security standards set forth by Temple.

Tenant Rights Help for Temple Students

In partnership with the Beasley School of Law, the Tenant Rights Help for Temple Students program offers free legal information on tenants’ rights and basic landlord-tenant issues. Staffed by trained Temple law students, walk-in hours are available every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. in the Essential Needs Hub during the academic semester.

Rental Assistance Program

The rental assistance program with Avery Philly, an off-campus apartment complex near Main Campus, is designed to help students reduce the costs of housing and food for one academic year. To be eligible, students cannot have already committed to live on campus or signed a lease for an off-campus property other than Avery Philly for the academic year they are participating. Eligible students will receive access to discounted rent at Avery Philly, along with additional funds to assist with food expenses. Please note that the cohort for 2026–27 has been filled. You can reach out to the Hub team with questions about this program for future years.
