Our Work

The Barnett Irvine Cherry Pantry and the Division of Student Affairs is committed to addressing food insecurity and expanding support for Temple students. As a completely donation-based resource, our mission is made possible through the generosity of community partners like you.

When you donate to the pantry, 100% of your contribution goes directly toward meeting the needs of our students. Your support is invaluable to the continued success of our programs and the well-being of the Temple community. 

Food Donations

We gratefully accept donations to help keep our pantry stocked and support neighbors in need. Donations can be dropped off during our regular pantry hours or, if the pantry is closed, at the Essential Needs Hub, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We kindly ask that all food donations be unopened, non-expired, and in good condition. Shelf-stable items are especially helpful. Some of the most needed items include canned proteins such as tuna, chicken, or beans; peanut butter and other nut butters; pasta and rice; canned fruits and vegetables; shelf-stable milk or milk alternatives; breakfast items like cereal and oatmeal; and cooking essentials such as oil, flour, sugar, and spices.
