How to Join

Recruitment Information

As of Fall 2024, first semester students will be able to join a fraternity/sorority. Once a student completes a semester at Temple, they are considered to be a continuing student. All continuing students must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA to join a fraternity/ sorority. Prior to joining, all students, regardless of credit status, must still fill out the “Temple University Fraternity and Sorority Life Registration” Owl Connect form and be on the eligibility list, prior to bid distribution. Complete the form by clicking here.

Please note that the College Panhellenic Council will remain on the deferred model for Fall 2024 and first semester first years will NOT be able to join until they earn 12 credits. Panhellenic will switch to a Fall primary recruitment in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The decision to join a fraternity or sorority should only be made after careful thought and research. Fraternity or sorority membership lasts a lifetime. While there are countless benefits to membership, the time and financial commitment should also be considered. These commitments vary among chapters, so be sure to ask before deciding to join.
