*You will not test at DRS if you are in the following programs: Law, Dental, Dental Post-bacc, P.A., Pharmacy, Podiatry, Katz medical, Katz post-bacc, Katz grad students (PhD+med programs)*
Below are instructions on how to book an exam to be taken in the DRS Office. Please remember to submit bookings no later than 3 days in advance. If you need assistance with test room booking, please email [click-for-email].
Step 1:
Login to MyDRS, and select Testing Room on the left menu.
Step 2:
Click “New Booking Request” at the bottom of the page.
Step 3:
Select the course you are scheduling an exam for from the drop-down menu.
If the “Exam (DO NOT SELECT)” field shows up, please leave it blank. Selecting the exam will prevent you from selecting a date.
Then click “Add Optional Filters” right below “Course.”
Step 4:
Look for the “Override Course Length” option below “Course” and “Building.”
Choose ‘no’ if the exam is the same length as the class.
Choose “yes” if the exam is not the same length as the class (Ex: a 30-minute quiz for a 90-minute class).
If you choose “yes”, indicate the unaccommodated length of the exam in the field to the right of “Building” (Note: this will be confirmed by your professor.).
Next to “Override Course Length” is the “Final Exam” option. Select “yes” if you are taking a final exam, and select “no” if you are not.
Step 5:
All available days will show up on the calendar. Select a date from the calendar. Please note that dates within the next 3 days will not be available for scheduling, and you will instead have to email DRS at [click-for-email].
Select a space. It should usually be “Howard Gittis Student Center South.” Select the start time for your exam.
Step 6:
A pop-up menu will appear on screen. Name the exam (Ex: “Quiz 4,” “Midterm 1,” etc.).
Select whether the request is different from the in-class date and time.
If you are taking it the same day and same start time as your class, select yes.
If you are not, select no and then type in the day and time the rest of the class is taking it.
If it is outside of your normal class time, your professor will need to approve. Please explain the reasoning for the alternative start time in the “Notes” section.
Confirm the date, time, and the accommodations to be used, and provide any relevant notes. Click “Submit Request.”
Note: Email DRS at [click-for-email] if you need any additional help!
