Temporary Accommodations

Temple University’s DRS office is committed to providing temporary accommodations to student with short-term medical conditions or injuries that impact their studies. Please follow the steps below if you are in need of temporary accommodations:

1. Pre-Register with DRS

  • Please go to myDRS to fill out our preregistration form. You need to be a registered Temple University student to use this form.

2. Documentation

  • You will be given an opportunity to share any medical documentation while filling out this form.
  • If you do not have medical documentation at the time of preregistration, please fill out the preregistration form and your student services coordinator will assist you in identifying the appropriate documentation to obtain and share. Documentation should outline the condition/injury, its functional impact on learning, and the anticipated recovery timeline. If more information is needed, your student services coordinator will assist you in identifying what information is still needed to help put accommodations in place.

3. Meet with a Student Services Coordinator

  • If necessary, you will meet with a student services coordinator to discuss your situation, review documentation, and engage in the interactive process to determine reasonable and appropriate temporary accommodations

4. Formalize Accommodation Letter and Share with Appropriate Parties

  • You will work with your student services coordinator to ensure your accommodation letter is shared with the appropriate parties including any professors that would need access to your accommodations.
  • If you have any questions or concerns please email or call 215-204-1280.
