Instructor Exam Upload Instructions

Below are instructions on how to upload an exam to a test room booking on MyDRS. If you need assistance regarding testing, please email drstest@temple.edu.

Step 1:

Login to MyDRS. In the center of the home screen, there is a section called “Test Room Bookings to Review.” If a course section has a student booking, it will appear on this screen.

Click the arrow next to the course section which will open a drop-down menu with the name of each student who has booked an exam.

Step 2:

In the gray portion of the drop-down menu, a section for “Exams” will be visible. Next to “Exams,” there will be a blue link that says “Add Exam.” Click this link, and a pop-up menu will appear to upload your exam and instructions.

Step 3:

Complete the form fully to provide DRS Testing Staff with the most accurate administration instructions. Guided images of this process are below.

1. Provide a title for the exam. For the title, please use the following format:

  • Course code_Instructor last name_Exam name
  • Example: Pez101_Brubaker_Midterm

2. Select whether the exam is paper or computer. If it is a computer exam, you can skip step 3.

3. If the exam is on paper, please attach the exam under “Attachments.”

4. Please add the unaccommodated exam length so we can ensure students receive the correct time.

5. Select the first and last days that students may take this exam. You will be able to apply this exam information to any bookings within this date range.

6. Share how much earlier or later a student may begin. Please keep in mind that if this is left blank or “0” is indicated, we will not allow students to start early or late without your permission. We will have to contact you first before they may begin.

7. Please indicate the best form of contact. We may need to contact you during the exam about questions, permission to begin early/late, and any issues that arise.

8. Please indicate what materials are allowed.

9. Select how you would like the exams returned to you. If it is a computer exam, you may select “N/A (Online Submission).”

10. Select “yes” under “Apply to all students in the course taking the test through DRS.” This will auto-attach the exam to students within the section, saving you from having to repeat the process.

Note: If you have multiple sections of a course with student bookings, you will need to upload the exam to each section. On the home screen under “Test Room Bookings to Review,” click the arrow next to the next section and repeat the steps above.

Additionally, you may want to upload an individual version of an exam for a specific student such as a copy of the exam in a larger font. To do so, return to “Test Room Bookings to Review” on the home screen, click the arrow next to the section, find the student, and click the “Review” button next to your their name. At the bottom of the pop-up screen, select the “Upload Button,” and you will be able to repeat the exam instructions. Select no under “Apply to all students in this course taking the test through DRS.”
