Moving to Campus
Every student has a specific move in day and time and you will want to make sure you know where you are going and what to do with your car and your stuff when you get here.

Parking
After you unload your belongings upon arriving to campus, you will be directed to the closest parking lot being used during move-in to park your vehicle.
2-HOUR PARKING PASS will be given to each student during check-in at no cost.
After 2 hours, we ask that you leave the parking lot to allow space for the next group of students arriving on campus.
We recommend one car per family. Additional cars must pay the daily parking rate.
Directions to Campus
Click here for the Temple University Campus Map with directions.
In the Move-in Guide, you will find a map with directions on campus along with the parking lots each building will use to manage their check-in process. Staff and security officers will also be present to help manage this process and direct you accordingly in order to insure for a smooth transition.
Students and their families will unload their vehicles along the sides of each building in accordance with the Move-in Schedule.
Following the unloading of your vehicle, students will proceed to check-in to their facility while family members park their vehicles. Safety and Security will be out on the road directing traffic and guiding you to the appropriate locations.
Procedures
The procedures for unloading your vehicles is really simple and we guide you through the entire process. When arriving to campus, you'll want to pull along side of the road near the white tents available for move-in. Students and their families should use the map with directions provided in the Move-in Schedule for exact locations.
You'll unload your car and then be directed where to park. For this reason, we generally ask that you bring several friends or family members with you so they can help.
Carts
To make moving in as easy as possible, each building has a supply of grey Temple University Housing carts that students and their families can use to transport their things from their car to their room.
Each building will have a designated space and designated staff to manage these carts.
We ask that students leave a picture I.D. in exchange for the use of a cart, and to bring the cart back as soon as they are done with it so other students can use them as well. The grey carts will also be available throughout the year and students can use them as needed by going to the Front Office of their building during regular business hours.
Once you have successfully checked into your residence hall, you can begin the process of moving your belongings into your new home.
If you intend to arrive later than the designated dates, you must notify the Office of University Housing and Residential Life as well as your department of study of your delayed arrival. Please email your intended arrival date to University Housing and Residential Life at [click-for-email] prior to the start of the semester. Failure to do so will place you in No Show status and jeopardize your room assignment.
Campus maps and driving directions to each residence hall and our Temple University-sponsored housing sites can be found online.
Resident Assistants and student volunteers will greet you and your family and provide directions and assistance while moving into University Housing. They will be distributing room keys, mailbox codes/keys, and important documents for you at check-in. We recommend bringing family or friends to assist with your belongings.
University Housing will have carts available to move your belongings, which will require the borrower to leave a valid means of identification as a security deposit, i.e. drivers' license, student ID, etc. Students who fail to return carts will be billed for their replacement.
